Description:
I'm selling my collection. Here is an Antique Dutch Beaumont P.Stevens Maastrich Bolt Action Military Rifle. Antique no FFL is required. It’s chambered in the excellent 11mmx 52R caliber (dies, brass & lead bullets are available from several specialized sites stores) . 4 round in a fix mag. Manufactured by Stevens in Maastricht in the Netherlands factory, with all the military Royal approval markings on metal and wood. Serial numbers are matching on the receiver, barrel, SN "P21", all visible on the pictures, it was made in 1874 written on the top of the butt plate, missing cleaning rod. The most interesting & unique bolt system, the main spring is not a coil type but a flat spring nested inside the bolt handle. The original finish was left in the white, it's turning braun patina, rates 50%, to prevent metal from rusting, they had to be constantly maintained by the soldier. Scarcely found in such good condition, with its 32.1/2" barrel with excellent bore with sharp rifling. The metal & wood have minor marks, all is accurately photographed, it's up to you to clean and restore to its original condition. The action is firm and smooth. Those are fun to shoot and very accurate with its long barrel with available proper reloads. Those battle rifle served on various front, building and guarding the making of railroads in Malaysia, used by the Boers in South Africa against the British Army... The old ammunitions and the images showed on the pictures are not for sale. I haven't shot this one. I described it to the best of my knowledge.
