National Arms Co. Front Loading Revolver

Colt Firearms Co. purchased National Arms Co. Brooklyn, N.Y.,  from Moore’s Pat. Firearms Co. This revolver is a 32 Teat-Fire cartridge front loading revolver. It retains 43% silver on the frame and 25-30% fading blue finish on the cylinder and barrel and it is marked National Arms Co. There were 5000 marked National Arms Co. and Moore’s Pat. Firearms Co. made about 30,000 total. This is serial number 19757. The mechanical function is very good crisp and tight. The bore is very good bright and shiny but does show a small amount of corrosion. The grips are walnut with over 85% varnish remaining. Colt Firearms Co. bought National Arms Co. in about 1870 and then continued to produce the single shot 41 rimfire deringer.
