PERRY CIVL WAR NAVY CARBINE
Description: Super Rare! This one is most always missing in even an advanced Civil War carbine collection, the Perry Navy carbine. Breechloading percussion. One of maybe 250 estimated to have been manufactured. Made in 1857 for the Navy. Serial number is #464. 20.75" barrel. Barrels were originally browned with blued frames. This gun has a very strong appearance of brown on the barrel. Probably a combination of original brown and patina. No original finish on frame, just patina. Marked on top of breechblock A.D.PERRY/ PATENTED , PERRYPATENTARM/ NEWARK N.J. Bore is very good, shiny and great rifling. action is good. Still retains its cap primer spring loaded tube in stock. I've seen a few Perrys in my 50 years that are missing this part. Wood is good with a small sliver out of left side of frame at rear. Please don't hesitate to call with questions. 973-214-3407.
