U.S. MODEL 1860 CAVALRY SABER DATED "1865" AMES MFG.

Description:
Dated "1865" on the ricasso and marked the Ames Mfg. stamp. In very fine original condition with unpolished brass, and original brass wire grip. The leather wrap on the grip is excellent, showing some light flaking on the surface. Bright polished blade with obverse polish at the guard. Excellent scabbard with "J.F" inspection on the drag. It is accompanied with it's original leather hanger.
