Description:
For sale is a transferable Brazilian Contract Hotchkiss M1909 Benet-Mercie machine gun chambered in 7mm Mauser. This example is equipped to be used with a bipod instead of a tripod. The metal has a nicely aged bluing with a mix of grey and brown patina and wear. There are freckles of oxidation visible on the surface. The forend that houses the gas sytem shows the most finish wear. The stock is in good shape with light surface scratches, but there is a crack that bends back around behind the tang. The bore is has strong rifling and is fairly bright, but it is starting to darken, and there's some spotting of oxidation (not corrosion) on the surface. The right side of the receiver is stamped with the Brazilian Crest.
