This is a full box, 20 original rounds, of .45-500 smokeless ammunition (this is the post 1898 designation for the former .45-70 cartridge not loaded with black powder hence dropping the 70 grains designation) manufactured by U.M.C. with 500 grain lead bullets. The two piece box has a very nice cartridge cut in red on the top side with the box now solid having old exterior tape repairs on the top side edges. The cartridges are in excellent condition. A seldom seen box.
