A  rare and early Shona sculpture of Green Verdite by well known and famous Peter Chikumbirike of Zimbabwe South Africa. This stunning sculpture of very high grade Green Verdite measures 5 1/2 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches wide, signed on the base "P. Chikumbirike". The Chikumbirike family has several of the best Shona sculptors to have ever sculpted stone. This statue has some of the most beautiful grains running through this semi-prescious hard stone, Peters work is comparable to Israels work, i have another sculpture by Israel also listed.
