British Pattern 1907 Bayonet – Wilkinson – September 1917 – Original Scabbard
Description:
Original British Pattern 1907 bayonet manufactured by Wilkinson Sword and dated September 1917. A genuine World War I issue bayonet for the SMLE rifle, complete with its original leather scabbard and steel mounts.
Blade remains bright with strong fullers, crisp markings, and no major pitting. Ricasso is clearly marked with crowned “GR,” “1907,” and “9 ’17” for September 1917 production, along with the Wilkinson maker stamp and British proof/inspection marks. Original wood grips are solid and tight. Metal shows honest service wear with a very attractive aged patina.
The original leather scabbard is in solid condition with intact stitching and steel fittings showing normal age and handling wear.
A clean, honest WWI British bayonet from one of the most desirable makers. Excellent display piece, collector example, or companion for a Lee-Enfield SMLE rifle.
