Very Fine 1900 Dated Krag Bayonet and Model 1899 Belt Attachment

Description:
This is a Krag bayonet stamped US on the obverse of the ricasso and dated 1900 on the reverse. It measures 16 1/8 inches overall with an 11 1/2 inch fullered blade in near excellent armory bright condition, very lightly sharpened with scattered use marks, scratches and some surface pitting toward the tip. The crossguard and pommel show light use and impact marks. The wood grips rate about excellent with very light use marks. It comes in a model 1899 scabbard unit marked on the back with the wire belt attachment with limited rotation that is in very fine condition showing perhaps half of the original finish with scattered use marks and scratches. An overall very fine example of an 1900 Krag bayonet.
