An Early U.S. Civil War 1/6 Plate Ambrotype Of "1st Lieut. H. Earl, Co. D, Kansas 1st Infantry In Very Nice Untouched Condition. All original throughout with his name labeled on the back of the ambro which was bought directly out of a house in Kansas by me along with many more items. The ambrotype is clear as shown. Lt. Earl enlisted as a private 6/3/1861 & did not resign until 4/26/1865. He rose through the ranks to 1st Lieut. on 12/8/1863. The 1st KS Infantry saw heavy action in the war. They lost 7 officers, and 120 men in battle. This Is A Nice Early 1/6 Ambrotype Of "1st Lieut. H. Earl, Co. D, Kansas 1st Infantry" That I Purchased Fresh Out Of A Kansas Estate !
