Original Civil War M1859 High Port US Cavalry Bit New Jersey

This is a Civil War period Military Cavalry Horse Bridle Bit. The Bit was marked but is now part is unreadable, can see NEWARK NJ clearly. Excellent brass "US" medallions riveted in place on either side of the bit. Complete with high port, rings, and bottom cross bar. This example is in very good condition with surface oxidation, great brass patina. Approx 9" long and 5 1/2" wide.;
