Description:
Really nice Sioux or Arapahoe beaded knife sheath circa late 1800s - 1910s. Fine beadwork on thick brain-tanned hide incorporating two rows of fringed welt sewn in.
it features a belt loop, and a leather drop at the bottom with a very old copper ring. At the top is another drop for attaching an over-the-shoulder sling. Beads are sinew sewn except for a very minor area where a few beads were reattached with thread. The size is 8-1/2" long x 2-3/4" wide not including fringes. Overall very good plus. NOTE! The stag handle knife resting in the sheath in one of the photos is just for visual appeal and NOT included in this sale.
