(Make Offer) 15 inch seat, Antique Saddle
Description: What a nice piece of history! This saddle is stamped with basket weave patterns on all major parts. The saddle seat measurements are 15" seat / Fenders 14" long / Wooden Stirrups 5" wide x 5" high. Condition: This saddle is in very good condition with a very few minor flaws. The most noticeable is a light scrape on the cantle rim (see photo). I would say ready to ride with only the addition of cinches for its double rigging. A classic Old West Cowboy Saddle that would add an air of authenticity to any western decor. The leather tie string will need to be replace if you plan to tie added gear to your saddle. There is almost no surface cracking a rarity on these old saddles. The tree is solid and true. The fenders are well preserved and the tooling well-defined. The fleece is thick and very usable. It may have been replace not long ago. The stitching on all parts is intact. With care this saddle would provide another century of service. I find no makers name on this saddle, and it was obviously done by a talented saddler. The diamond shaped plate on the back of the cantle has the name E. A. Blank scratched on it. A saddle like this, new today would cost you $2000.00 plus. SAVVY SAYIN! Admire a big horse. Saddle a small one. Payment: Item, can be ordered on line with a credit card or paypal on our sight. Just Google (riverjunction) and type in the River Junction Trade Co. item number (5978) in the search box. Before you checkout you will see shipping cost and total.
