WWII WW2 German G43/K43 Magazine Pouch - Tan Vinyl - Marked "bla 44" - Rare
Description: For your consideration is a rare variation of the standard G43/K43 magazine pouch for the G43/K43 semi-automatic rifle. The pouch is made from rare tan vinyl meant to conserve leather. The only leather on the pouch is brown leather closure straps, the leather reinforcement for the closure stud & the leather tab for the closure strap. The belt loops are made of a blackmaterial. The pouch is not only made of the rare tan vinyl material but is also rare due to the maker - "bla" - the ordnance code for E. G. Leuner GmbH, in Bautzen, Germany. This company made G43 pouches but they are most commonly encountered in black leather with brown leather belt loops. The tan vinyl pouches are most commonly found with the ordnance code "ros" - a company that was the most prolific producer of G43 magazine pouches. The pouch is in outstanding condition & appears to be unissued. All the stitching is intact & the leather is soft & pliable. The only "flaw" is a bit of rust on one of the closure studs. Late-war manufacturing is evident as the rivets on the flaps are not evenly spaced. These sometimes come up for sale on one of the European s (fjm44, militaria plaza, lux) & range from 225-250 Euros plus the fairly hefty shipping charges. Overall, a rare pouch in outstanding & at a price more reasonable than you will find on one of the European sites. Payment by personal check or USPS money order (preferred). Shipping is $10 USPS Priority Mail. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. SOLD |
