WWII WW2 German RG34 Cleaning Kit - Ultra Rare Ordnance Tan - Marked rco 44
Description: For your consideration is an incredibly rare WWII German RG34 (Reinigungsgerät 34) cleaning kit in ordnance tan. Very few kits were made in this color & they are almost impossible to find in any condition. They rarely come up for sale so this is unique opportunity to own one. This particular kit is complete & retains roughly 90% of the ordnance tan paint with an area of paint loss on the front. The kit was definitely carried in combat; exhibiting numerous scrapes & scuffs. No major dents & there are some small spots of rust but over all the kit has a great combat-used appearance. The kit is marked with ordnance code “rco 44” indicating manufacture in 1944 by Braunsweigische Blechwarenfabrik GmbH in Braunschweig, Germany; well-known manufacturer of RG34 kits (also known for using ordnance codes arr, Ky & KH). The kit includes all components: the oiler in black phenolic resin, take-down tool (‘spoon’), oil brush, cleaning brush, pull chain & cleaning patch. All are in good serviceable condition. This kit would make a great addition to a K98k collection or a combat display. They are seldom listed for sale in the US & are most often found on one of the European sites like fjm 44 or Lux Military Antiques - the only two sites I have seen them for sale & they sell immediately. The cost there is generally 550-650 Euros & that does not include shipping to the US (usually another 20-30 Euros) so roughly $650-$750 to get one from Europe. I have adjusted the price on this kit to reflect the finish loss so an opportunity to acquire an ordnance tan kit at a more affordable price point. Asking $450 or best reasonable offer. Shipping is $10 via USPS Priority Mail small flat rate box. Preferred method of Payment is PayPal gift or a USPS money order. If paying by PayPal it must be a gift to avoid fees. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. SOLD |
