"Beautiful Model Ames 1872 Deluxe Presentation Sword to Lieutenant James Pierce, Paymaster National Lancers Boston (SW1314)

Description:
"Beautiful Model Ames 1872 Presentation Sword to Lieutenant James Pierce Paymaster to the National Lancers Boston. Blade is 34"  and the overall length is 39 ½". Blade is beautifully acid etched and has the presentation on the right hand side of the blade that says “Presented to James W. Pierce by the National Lancers 1887" The scabbard has a similar presentation that reads “Presented to James W. Pierce, Paymaster/  by the National Lancers of Boston/ May 25th 1887" The hilt is relief cast gilded brass in patriotic themes. The scabbard is nickel plated with some light frosting, but still in excellent condition. The scabbard has relief cast gilded brass on the front side with engraving on the back. Beautiful Ames Presentation sword!
