Description:
"A very small ko-tanto with a blade length of 5 3/8 inches, in plain shira saya storage mounts. The blade is hira-zukuri in form with a small, neat kissaki and a single mekugi-ana. It is unsigned (mumei) and fitted with a simple copper habaki. The surface shows scratches and cloudiness from age and an old polish, with the hamon obscured but likely visible under restoration. Overall, the blade is healthy with no fatal flaws apparent and presents well as a collectible study piece or candidate for polish. Measurements: • Nagasa: 5 3/8" • Form: Hira-zukuri, ko-tanto • Period: Likely Edo period • Mounts: Shira saya with copper habaki • Condition: Out of polish; surface scratches and haze; structurally sound (dallas location)
