"U.S. Model 1850 Foot Officers Sword (SW1541) CONSIGNMENT

Description:
"U.S. Model 1850 Foot Officers Sword inscribed ""Lieut./G.H.PERRY/LEE/146TH REGT/N.Y.S.V."" 31"" etched blade with a foliate, military and patriotic motifs noted. Slight discoloration is visible on the blade. Brass hilt with floral open guard is in very good plus condition. leather wire wrapped grip has light wear noted. Original leather scabbard is starting to split at the stitching between the middle ring mount and drag. Lieut. Perry served eight months before he was discharged on Jan.10, 1863. It is unknown why he was discharged. Consignment
