Interesting Ball & Williams, Worcester marked on top of barrel of octagonal 24" long and SNof 4418 stamped on breech of barrel as well as top of frame.Left side of barrel stamped Merwin and Bray , New York.as we;right side of barrel stamped Ballards Patent Nov.5 1861.
BNarrel mostlu blue with a clean rifled bore and few spot of mild corrosion, and muzzle measure about .355"? most likely .38 cal.and breech measurinhg about 3.65" not sure wheather it is a rim fire or center fire , Cccccomes with the lever and tang screwm and screw of lever, and front doevtailed ssight and rear dovetail filled with a brass plate and can be drifted out.The frame is brown patina with raised finish Good project .
