It's a unique and rare offering with the serial number present on the rear of the slide around the firing pin hole. According to the famed 1911 book "Colt .45 Service Pistols" written by Charles Clawson, this slide is one that was featured between roughly serial ranges 710001-1,145,000 or Jan 1937 to Nov 1943. A great addition for your period pistol or a WWII, Colt collection!
