Lyman #2 Cup Disc Tang Sight Marked "DA" for Winchester 1894, 55, 64 and others
Description:
For your consideration is an original Lyman #2 tang sight that utilizes screw in discs of various diameters and having a "DA" marked base, thus suitable for the Winchester Models 1894, 55, 64 and 94; mounting screw distance also suitable for later 1873, plus 1892, 53, 65 and 92 models. 1" diameter cup disc and original mounting screws for a straight grip firearm are included. I do have a few reproduction longer tang screws if you need one for mounting to a pistol grip firearm. Sight is marked "LYMAN" but no other markings present other than the DA code.
Sight functions perfectly. The spring is strong, allowing solid lock up in both the folded and upright positions. The knurled elevation adjustment knob turns freely but not loosely, allowing snug movement of the sight stem and disc. The disc will screw in and out as designed in case you wish to put a smaller diameter disc in it. The sight has never been refinished and retains an nice, aged plum patina.
