His productions all exude a very strong personality, superb ergonomics, and they are closer to a piece of art than a knife. This model comes in two blade lengths 8-5/8" for the PRAIRIE 1,(the one being shown) and 7-1/8" for its companion,(see a separate listing ). Both knives are constructed and made from 1/4" 440C  steel stock, reinforced tip with a mirror polished blade. The solid brass pommel has two opening to tie up security laces, while both knives comes with a double brass guard for hand protection. Extra heavy-duty leather scabbard of the highest quality. The unique blade shape is a combination of a classic design mixed with a dagger.  In true European hunting traditions, hunting knives of this type are used to finish off the game so as not to prolong its suffering, as opposed to American hunting knives which are typically intended for skinning game after the kill.
