This beast of a knife is 1/4 inch thick and has a 6-1/2 inch by an inch and three quarters wide razor sharp blade. The handle is of black micarta with maroon micarta spacers. The overall length is just shy of 12 inches. The knife has weight and heft enough for chopping or slashing. Knife comes with the signiture Schulps inside snag free, snap sheath, great for outdoor use. Signed by Schulps on the knife's spine. If you are not familiar with John Schulps, He was a master potter and knife maker, receiving his education at Cal State Northridge and a Masters from UCLA. He owned his own business, Schulps Pottery & Knives in Orland, Calif. for over 40 years.
John also played professional football for the Vikings and Giants in the sixties, which led to his passion of coaching youth and high school football in Orland.
