Description:
1918 Mark I Trench Knife has the right side of its handle marked “L. F & C-1918”. It has a double edged blackened steel blade, similar to a British Commando knife, blade measuring 6.75” with an overall length of 11.5”. Brass knuckle-type handle has a spike at the end of each finger slot with a steel domed skull crusher on the pommel. Complete with correct steel scabbard marked “L. F. & C./1918” on the side below throat. Belt hooks are present.
Condition:
VG+ with the blade retaining most of its original blackened finish, the scabbard with 75-80% of its original finish with sharp edge/exposure wear as one would expect from a carried knife. Seldom offered for sale, much less in this condition.
