WWII Fairbairn-Sykes Third Pattern British Commando Knife and Sheath

This is a WWII Fairbairn-Sykes Third Pattern British Commando Knife with leather Sheath. The blade is machined and retains most of the original finish with light surface oxidation and no nicks with a nice tip. This knife was carried and used as seen from the blade and use of the sheath. The guard is stamped "SHEFFIELD ENGLAND" for import and has light verdigris on handle from contact with sheath. The brass handle has no casting number with a correct nut, most of the black paint finish is missing on the handle. The sheath is leather is in very good condition tight stitching and polished black for use. Blade length 6 7/8" with OAL of 11 3/8". Over-all a nice example of a classic late war knife with and excellent sheath.;
