Marbles No. 6 Safety Axe with Sheath 20's-50's

Description:
Very Nice Vintage Marbles No. 6 Safety Axe. Stamped on guard Marble Arms & MFC. CO Gladstone, Mich. U.S.A. Patn. 1898. This dates the manufacture time between 1920’s and 50’s. The excellent condition carbon steel axe head has a 2 3/4? cutting edge which is free of chips and pitting. The 11 1/2? wood handle is in very good to excellent condition with only a slight impact near the end of the metal guard. The safety guard has 99% of it’s original finish and fully functional. The medium brown sheath is in very good condition with no real cosmetic injuries, one small area in the past has been re-dyed, is missing about an inch of stitching. It is stamped with a 6 on the back for identification, with a carved “BW" on the front.
