"Vietnam War Era Special Forces 2 knife set An impressive pair of knives owned by a U.S. soldier who served three tours in Vietnam. The first knife is a Special Forces fighting knife, marked “5th Special Forces Group (Abn) / Vietnam" on the blade. It also has the Special Forces logo and motto “De Oppresso Liber" on the ricasso. The second knife is a Randall Model 14 Attack knife marked “Randall Made / SOLINGEN". Each knife has it’s original leather scabbard with sharpening stone. Both knives show lots of wear and use, typical of knives used in deployment. Included is a letter from a lifelong friend of the original owner of the knives which provides the name and some of the service history of the original owner. The letter only mentions the Special Forces knife but both knives were owned by the same soldier and were acquired together.
