This is a nice Korean War produce shell with a manufactures code of "M 160A" and was produced in 1950-51 by the McCord Radiator and Manufacturing Company, which produced the vast majority of M1 helmets during WWII. This shell has seen a lot of use having several bumps and dents, nice exterior paint and pebble. The complete liner and harness dates from the early 50’s with the liner being manufactured by Westernhouse Micarta division in 1952. The exterior is in good condition with two unit decals partially removed and many drilled holes. This unit is equip with a later pattern camouflaged cover and a Vietnam split chin strap, both in very good condition. This helmet has had a long service life.;
