This is an interesting leather case manufactured by RIA and is labeled so with the date of 1918 with inspectors initials of T.C.C. and on the bottom G.K. This case is in excellence condition with tight stitching and excellence brass scroll work clasp with pin. We have seen other leather box/cases ornamented with almost the exact brass clasps Our thoughts are that these were most likely attributed to upgrades done by Bannerman or similar retailer trying to make a buck off of old surplus. Sounds familia ;-) This certainly resembles the repurposed work they were famous for and I could find only one other example just like this one. Interesting part of history and would add to any collection.;
