This is an excellent rare example of an experimental Ethylcellulose Canteen, complete with an original WWII dated infantry carrier. The canteen itself is marked on the bottom with U.S. / 1943 and a small maker logo that reads "MACK MOLDING CO". This example appears in excellent condition with no cracks that I can find, nice cap with original cork. Three small drilled holes in the cap, used to release pressure without removal of the cap. The canteen carrier is marked "NU_MODE INC" 1943 and on the bottom "S K S----". This item is also in excellent condition with slight staining on the front bottom and some over-all age soiling.
