Zeiss Zeilklein 2.25X Scope, circa 1935-1940, pre-dating the Lyman Alaskan. Seen on many of the early high quality Springfield and Mauser sporters, this was the highest quality and most expensive scope of its time. Adjustable for elevation only, it was usually seen mounted in Noske or Griffin & Howe sidemounts with windage adjusment. This piece with post and fine crosshair. Optics are very good. It retains 96% original blue with some loss on the turret as pictured. Very hard to find in this condition.
