Antique Horn Powder Flask Flip up Measure Bee Makers Mark
Description:
This is a nice 19th century Horn body Powder Flask with a rare flip up charger. This flip up charger, mentioned by Riling in his book "The Powder Flask Book" on pg. 395 and displayed on page 401 #1173 which is a near copy and likely made in France. The charger is labeled 35, 40,45, 50, the main spring is broken and there is a slight split on the brass. The hangers and horn are in very good condition with normal wear as is the base. 9" long and 3" at the widest.
There is a neat little makers mark of an Insect or Bee on the top.;
