The Nosler .300 diameter 180-grain Partition bullet is primarily loaded in large-capacity .30-caliber magnum cartridges. The primary rifle calibers utilizing this specific bullet weight are the .300 Winchester Magnum (often referred to as .300 Win Mag), .300 Weatherby Magnum, .300 WSM (Winchester Short Magnum), .300 Remington Ultra Magnum (RUM), and the historic .300 H&H Magnum.  Because it is a .30-caliber bullet, hand-loaders can also use it in practically any .30-caliber rifle, including non-magnums like the .30-06 Springfield. However, the 180-grain Partition is widely considered the optimal choice for the belted magnums listed above, offering deep penetration and superior expansion on big game.
