Colt Patent Powder Flask for the Early 1851 Navy, 1860 Army and 3rd Model Dragoon

This is an extremely rare Colts Patent powder flask that would go with the early square-back Colt 1851 Navy and the 1861 Navy or the 1860 Colt Army. Robin Rapley also has this type flask pictured with two 3rd Model cased Dragoons. This is a very early flask. You see it cased with the later 1851 Navy and the 1860 Army but this flask was made very early so it would go great the square-back Colt or the 3rd Model Colt Dragoon. 
Overall, this flask has a rich and beautiful deep, dark patina. It has the correct slanted spout. The spout, spring and gate all work as they should. All seams are perfect! This is the only Colt Navy flask manufactured with the pattern on both sides. The die work is extremely fine and detailed and of the best workmanship and in the finest tradition of Colt powder flasks.
