Lyman Early 310 8MM Mauser, in Yellow Box, with dies and papers
Description: Subject to prior sale (he who hesitates is lost. :-) ). A fellow collector is thinning out his herd. This is one of them. Here's your chance to add not-often-seen quality tools to your collection without breaking the bank. An excellent example of the transitional steel handled 310, which was shipped in the pre-WWII yellow box (see letter below). Comes with the original five die set. The decapper and neck expander replaced the decapping tool shown on the box lid. The Neck resizer and bullet seater have "118" markings, the neck expander stem "323" and the priming die "2". Bullet seating stem marked "366" (spitzer). The bullet seater shows wear and the decapper has some light longitudinal scratches, but otherwise the set appears hardly used. Has the early "wedding band" lock ring with no set screw. Also has the original waxed wrappers for the dies, which are a bit torn, as well as a small envelope marked "3 Decapping Pins" which contains a small glassine envelope with two pins remaining. A very nice collector's item as is, but with the correct dies, will load any cartridge with the same case width as the 8MM - 30-06, 250-3000, 25-06, etc. Plus you'll know you have a REAL tool in your hands and not one of these aluminum wannabes. The Lyman note, dated 1950, says "Due to unavoidable shortage of our regular container for #310 Tools we are shipping in a substitute package to expedite delivery of your order." Buyer pays $12.60 shipping in a Medium Flat Rate box with Delivery Confirmation and insurance. Payment expected within three days. SOLD |
