This is a very hard to find 31 caliber brass-legged Colts Patent bullet mold for the 1849 Colts Patent pocket model. It is in great condition with one small pry mark on the back. These were made before the Civil War. The cavities are near perfect. The hinge works just as you would want it to. It has a dark mustard patina over all. And it has the early Colts Patent mark without the apostrophe between the t and s on Colts. It would drop right into a high-quality cased Colt or make an excellent addition to any Colt collection. These early brass-leg bullet molds are many times found with engraved, cased Colts.
