An Early "1888 Patented" Large Cast Iron Ornate "Security Safe Deposite" Vault Safe With Inner Wooden Drawers In Very Nice Untouched Condition. All original throughout. The large safe is fully engraved on all sides and the top. There is a lion and ring on the left & right sides. It is painted black with gold filigree all around it. The patent dates are on the bottom of it. The door closes  on it however the latch is missing that slides out. It measures 6 inches by 5inches on the sides and is 8 1/8 inches tall. All of the drawers inside are original. This Is A Fine Example Of An Early "1888 Patented" Large Cast Iron Ornate "Security Safe Deposite" Vault Safe With Scarce Inner Wooden Drawers. It Would Look Great In An Antique Civil War Collection!
