Rare 1890's Winchester Blue Label 38 S&W Smokeless Hollow Point Ammo Partial Box

This is a partial box, 20 original rounds, of .38 S&W smokeless ammunition manufactured by Winchester with hollow point lead bullets. This is a hard to fine blue label, late 1890's smokeless box of Winchester ammunition which has a primary label calling out solid head bullets but a side seal label showing the hollow point lead bullets. The primary label is in excellent condition with bright colors and crisp graphics featuring a Smith & Wesson top break revolver. The side seal label has a great write up explaining the benefits of smokeless powder and the power for "Penetration, four 7-8 in. pine boards" along with an excellent cartridge cut showing the hollow point loading. The box is solid and has professionally repaired inside corners. The cartridges are in excellent condition. A desirable box that will stand out in any collection.
