Description:
This is a Salesman's sample folding three panel kit for rifle and handgun cartridges manufactured by the Western Cartridge Company. The kit has three compartments to hold a sample of each caliber manufactured by the company folding up and snapping closed when not displayed. Unfolded the kit measures 21 inches wide by 10.5 high. Included are 83 original Western cartridges in caliber ranging from .22 up to .45-70 with many of the long obsolete large caliber rim fire rounds. The front flap is gold embossed with "Western Cartridge Co." with a green velvet lined interior. Overall condition is good to very good with a slight separation on the outer flap edge, slightly brittle overall with several of the cartridge loops also torn. The cartridges range from excellent to badly corroded. A rare kit that with a little restoration would make an excellent display item.
