Winchester 2 P/C .44 W.C.F. Model 1873 Swaged Bullets for reloading.
This is the 1st time that we have had this type of box.
We have discovered that Winchester in the 1800’s manufactured 2 types of bullet reloading boxes.
This box has the callout for the “Winchester Model 1873”.
The other type has a callout for “Winchester Repeating Rifles”. The 50 original swaged bullets show lead oxidation.
It is interesting that the inside of the box was made with individual cardboard compartments, which all are there in good condition.
The box is a 2 p/c thumb cut box. The top label is complete and in very good condition for its age.
The right hand side label is complete and in good condition. The left hand side of the box top is missing.
All sides of the box bottom are complete.
Since the photo’s were taken the box has been shrink wrapped for protection.
