Description:
This is an Original, Used, Sharps Borchardt 45-70 Barrel in Good for Age Shootable Condition. It is Round; Tapered; approximately 32 Inches Long x just over 1 Inch Diameter at the Chamber and ~11/16 Diameter at the Muzzle. It is Marked “Old Reliable” in script and “SHARPS RIFLE CO. BRIDGEPORT, CONN”. Some moderate even pitting is present with plenty of preserved rifling to make this a perfectly serviceable preservation-shooter. The Brass Front Sight Blade appears to be a vintage/period replacement, and there are two pairs of drilled and tapped holes for sights.
