Scarce U.S. Cadet Bayonet 1900 Krag West Point Hoffman's Belt Attachment

This is a very scarce 1900 dated U.S. Cadet Bayonet Model of 1895 built for the cadets at West Point that comes in a correct scabbard with the leather Hoffman's Belt attachment. Production was very limited on these short Krag bayonets with production in the mid to low hundreds. This example is in fine condition measuring 13 inches overall with an 8.5 inch fullered blade marked "US" on the ricasso and 1900 on the reverse. The blade has a dull appearance with scattered carbon staining and light pitting with the crossguard and pommel in similar condition. The wood grips are solid. It comes in the original blued steel scabbard with the Hoffman's leather belt attachment that shows light crazing but remains fully intact and supple. A very scarce Cadet model bayonet that is a must have for the serious Krag or American bayonet collector.;
