This well used example is 15 7/8” overall with an 11 3/8” blade. Ricasso is dated 1897 with the reverse marked “US”. Edge has been sharpened and tip is slightly rounded. Blade has pinprick to fine pitting and discoloration. Grips are wooden and well worn with the pommel showing older oxidation and fine pitting. Scabbard has fine pitting overall as well as some light rust. A entry level or representative example.
