WW2 Japanese Type 30 Straight Quillon Bayonet by Jinsen Arsenal
Description: Serial #3(?)56692. This is a great looking late war example that measures 20’ overall, with a 15 5/8" straight, single-edged, unfullered blade. The blade is roughly machined and retains 80-85% of the original matte blue finish with some gray fading along the edge and some light scabbard wear as well. The star and crown emblem of the Jinsen Arsenal (Inchon, Korea) is deeply struck on the ricasso reverse. The hilt retains a commensurate amount of original blue with some further aging to plum-brown along the edges and projections. The roughly hewn wooden grips are in very good shape with minor handling marks and blemishes. The wooden scabbard has intact cord wrapped bands and metal chape and throat band. This is a fine example of a desirable, Korean-made Type 30 bayonet, simplified for increased production. SOLD |
