WWI British P 1907 Second Model Sanderson Bayonet with Steel Scabbard
Description:
This is a British Pattern 1907 second model made by Sanderson Bros. & Newbould Ltd. in 11/17. This bayonet most likely saw use in both World Wars. The blade is in very good unsharpened condition with almost all of the parkerization and nearly unmarred edge and slightly rounded tip. The crossguard shows signs of normal wear and light oxidation. The handle has a deep rich patina. Lastly ending in a functional rifle lug pommel with oil cleaning hole. The first inch or two of the blade has it’s original finish, guard and pommel have some of the original finish. This comes with an interesting steel fabricated body scabbard with an early topmount and chape. Some one took sheet metal and made the body and the seam is clearly seen, no markings are found on the scabbard.;
