WWI US Springfield Model of 1905 Bayonet and Woven Duck Scabbard Named
Description:
This is a WWI produced Model of 1905 bayonet manufactured by Springfield Armory dated 1917 in a Model of 1910 woven cotton Duck Cover scabbard. The 20 ½" OAL bayonet has a 15 7/8" unsharpened blade with 12 inch fullers having a bright finish in excellent conditon.
It is marked "U.S. / 702780"
on the ricasso with "S A" over Flaming bomb and "1917" date on the reverse.
The wood grips rate near excellent with light handling and use marks. The scabbard remains in near excellent condition with normal wear and is personalized and named "W.E. DE SHAZO" Great addition to any collection.;
