WWII 1938 German 1884/98 3rd Model Bayonet by Jos Corts

Description:
Serial #6343 k, made by Jos. Corts. This is an original 1938 German 1884/98 3rd Model bayonet in excellent condition retaining almost all of the original bluing on the unsharpened blade. The only wear on the blade is from passing through the mouthpiece into the keeper of the scabbard with the tip having the slightest tweak. The hilt, dark brown bakelite handle and pommel are in excellent condition with all the correct Wehrmacht markings and a faint scattering of oxidation. This bayonet is accompanied by a non-matching but correct scabbard and leather frog in excellent condition 95%+ bluing with light oxidation and bumps and dings of honest use. The frog is still pliable with only a small amount of verdigris. Bayonet is 15" (385mm) overall with a nearly 10" (251mm) blade.;
