Engraving by Master Engraver the late great E. C. Prudhomme,1911-1990, in 1972, mounts, guard, escutcheon, pommel. Blade marked on right side with the extremely scarce and rare "B" initial at the ricasso. Ten-and-a quarter clipped point blade by 1-7/8-inch wide, from 1/4-inch 1040 steel stock, 14-7/8-inches overall length, denotes a brightly mirror polished finish, and a sharpened false edge, fancy "S" shaped brass crossguard, large oblong escutcheon embedded in the American walnut grip, brass butt cap.
