Pre-Ban Federal Ordnance Silver-Finished Mini-14 30-Round Mag
ONLY 1 LEFT!!!!!!!!!!
MINT & STILL SEALED IN BAG!! **
Description: We now have only 1 of these pristine, like-new PRE-BAN Federal Ordnance 30-round Ruger Mini-14 magazines left, with a nickel plated finish still in their original factory shipping bags!!! The last one remaining is MINT and still totally sealed up in the factory shipping bag. These Federal Ordnance high-capacity mags (also sold as "Precision Magazine Inc.") ARE CONSIDERED TO BE THE BEST AFTERMARKET PRE-BAN MAGAZINE EVER-MADE FOR THE MINI-14 by a large majority of the Mini-14 collectors and shooters in the U.S.. As most Mini-14 owner's know, the VAST MAJORITY of aftermarket magazines available for this excellent weapon are total JUNK, and not even worth owning. This goes for both the older and newer production aftermarket mags. This brand is just one of only a handful of aftermarket magazines that have proven to be as-good or better than the original factory magazines. This particular brand is actually superior to the factory magazines in a couple of ways in my opinion, and that view is shared by many Mini-14 owners. These magazines are considered as-good or better than the factory mags due to their superb robust construction of heavier gauge sheetmetal than the factory mags, as well as a couple of small design improvements. In-fact, they are thicker than any other metal aftermarket magazine we have encounted for the Ruger Mini-14. These also stand-out because the rear block that the magazine catch latches-under is a seperate piece of heat-treated solid-steel, welded and pinned to the body, instead of a chinzy rectangle pressed outward in the sheetmetal like nearly all of the others. This method is at least ten times stronger than just having a rectangular-shaped dent pressed into it, and it is the way they were DESIGNED BY RUGER to be made. Any other method is a shortcut, and definitely not as strong. The front catch is just like the factory mags, with the hole punched thru two layers of tempered sheetmetal, and located precisely wherte it is supossed to be. It is very common to find other brands with the hole punched in one layer of non-hardened steel, and often off-center and too high or low. There are two design improvements in these magazines that make them superior to even the older pre-ban Ruger-factory magazines. The first it that these have an anti-tilt follower in them that many of the pre-ban factory mags do not have. This new follower design allows them to be a little shorter than the factory mags, yet still have the same capacity and FEED MORE RELIABLY. The second improvement is that these Federal Ordnance mags were made with drain/access ports in them. This allows them to drain on their own if submerged for some reason, it allows dirt and sand to be shaken out, and they allow the operator to flush these mags out with oil, air, or soap and water without having to take them apart. These are great mags from top to bottom, and personally, they are the ONLY other brand of magazine besides the Ruger factory mags that I would trust in my Mini-14 in a life or death /self-defense situation. If you keep a Mini-14 in your home or automobile for self/home defense and it has a magazine in it made by someone other than Ruger or Federal Ordnance/Precision Magazine, I would go take it out immediately and get one of these or a factory mag to replace it. After years of trying all kinds of aftermarket magazines of varyiong capacities and made of steel or polymer, these PRE-BAN Federal Ordnance / Precision Magazine Mini-14 mags have proven time and time again to be the ONLY type I would bet my life on that wasn't made by Ruger. YES, they are expensive, but how expensive are they really if it helps ensure that your Mini-14 functions reliably when it may be needed to save lives? Because these are "Pre-Ban", they are also much more valuable to those who live in a state where only pre-ban high-capacity magazines are legal, and if you take care of them, they should continue to appreciate in value because of this. If you have been looking for pre-ban Mini-14 magazines it would be really hard to find anything better than these, factory or otherwise! This mag is priced at $125. SOLD |
