This is a World War II German Kriegsmarine sailor's cap, also known as a "Donald Duck" cap or Tellermütze.

These caps were worn by all junior NCOs and enlisted men in the German Navy (Kriegsmarine) during WWII.
The cap is made of dark blue cloth and features a national eagle badge and cockade on the front.
A cap tally (ribbon) surrounds the base of the cap, which in this case appears to have the word "Hitlerjugend" (Hitler Youth) on it.
Original caps are considered hard to find by collectors and can sell for significant amounts.
